Best Practices Award
2019- Southern Gerontological Society
An award that was given in recognition of significant contribution in the field of aging, the improvement of quality of life for older adults, and the overall development of Gerontology in the Southern Region- 14 states in the South. The organization I co-led received the Best Practices award for bridging research and practice together in the areas of brain health and memory care.

MindAlert Award
2017- The American Society on Aging
The MindAlert Award is awarded to a mental fitness program serving the general population of older adults developed by a nonprofit organization. The center I created from a business plan, laptop & desk into an operational brain health center received this accolade under my leadership.

Promising Practices Award
2016- Mather Lifeways Institute on Aging
This award highlights organizations working with older adults in a variety of settings that are moving away from conventional practices by developing and implementing innovative approaches. The center I developed received this award for its innovative work in the community for brain health programs and services.

Innovator Award
2016- International Council on Active Aging
This award is presented to innovative programs that advance the cause of active aging and improve wellness for older adults. The center I created received this international award for reach into the community, cognitive/intellectual dimension on wellness, and successful implementation/outcomes for North America.

The Alzheimer's Association, Alzheimer's Society, & Global Brain Health Institute
Global Brain Health Leader Award (2019)
The Alzheimer's Association, Global Brain Health Institute, and the UK-based Alzheimer's Society have united to address global challenges with access to care, stigma, brain health risk factors, and other key issues through a competitive funding program for emerging leaders in brain health and dementia. Award received for project titled, “Optimizing Brain Health for Care Partners: An Educational Curriculum.”

Distinguished Young Woman Award (2018)
An award that is given to young women who are making a difference in Northeast Ohio through her career accomplishments, community involvement, and her commitment to YWCA's mission of eliminating racism and empowering women.
